It is a species that produces very thick roots like Anthurium.
I have not seen any photos of this species in its natural habitat, so I do not know what kind of ecology it has, but from the shape of its roots, I think it is a species that can crawl on bedrock.
It would be interesting to grow it as a climbing Homalomena.
